Coaching self evaluation

Self Evaluation
For my lesson, I had the value of respect. It was at St. Michael's and the activity I did was hockey. It started off slowly, because the kids were excited. When I started explaining it, they settled down.
  • Presentation- I wore my sports shirt and tracksuit bottoms, ready for sport. Before starting, I told them my name and what we were doing in the lesson. Then, I told them our Olympic value (Respect) and asked them what it meant. I would give myself a 8/10.
  • Discipline- At first, it was a bit shaky, because I had just started. After I got going, I knew what I was doing, so I got started straight away explaining the value, and what they were doing. Most of the time, the groups listened to me straight away because they wanted to play. A few times, it took a bit longer to control them.
  • Communication- I thought I talked clear enough going through the lessons, because the kids understood what they were doing and got on with the game straight away. They understood the rules and knew the game.
  • Confidence- At first, I was a bit quiet, because I had just started and was a little nervous, but going on, I became more confident and spoke more and louder.
